2021 hasn't been very kind to Hip Hop mogul Dr. Dre.

Following a scary trip to the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, and his home being burglarized while he was there -- Dre, born Andre Young, is now being told to fork over a large spousal support payment to his estranged wife Nicole Young.

Young filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage in June of 2020, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. Wed in 1996, Dre and Nicole have two children together, Truice and Truly.

According to legal documents, the money should be used to cover her living and security expenses and is expected to arrive early next week. A judge also ruled to continue the divorce proceedings into April in order to give Dre time to recover.

Young described Dre as a "control freak" when filing papers in September 2020 in which she also requested $2 million in spousal support and $5 million in legal fees. Also included were allegations Dre had "forced" Nicole to sign a pre-nuptial agreement on the day of their wedding "under extreme duress.” Dre disagreed at the time, threatening to contact each guest to testify otherwise.

Let's just hope things start looking up for Dre in the new year. It certainly seems he, just as the rest of us, will have plenty to worry about without the extra worries of home invasions, health scares, and ugly break ups.
