The Game Reveals Face Tattoo Tribute to Kobe Bryant

The rapper gets ink for the icon

The Game has added another iconic Los Angeles symbol to his face, getting a new tattoo this week to honor Kobe Bryant. Dressed in Lakers purple and gold, the rapper shared a shot on Wednesday of himself adding new ink above his eye, Bryant’s number 8 and his autograph.

The Born 2 Rap MC already has the Dodgers’ "LA" tattooed on his cheek, but this one holds extra special meaning after the passing of the All-Star last month. The Game reportedly has a Kobe tribute song in the works as well, and he has been paying tribute to Kobe on tour by wearing his jersey each night. The tattoo was done in Glasgow, before playing a show at the O2 Arena.

This weekend, Kobe Bryant will be honored at the 2020 NBA All-Star Game. Jennifer Hudson is set to sing, in memory of Bryant and his daughter and the 7 others that lost their life in a helicopter crash in California.

Amazingly, the face tattoo for The Game is just the latest in a line of celebrity face ink this week, following a forehead tattoo from Amber Rose that celebrates her children, and an Air Jordan tattoo added to the cheek of Chris Brown.
