Positive COVID-19 test rate in Sedgwick County drops

The rate at which COVID-19 tests are coming back positive in the Wichita area continues to decrease. The rate is at its lowest since late June. 

The county's coronavirus dashboard shows the positivity rate on Monday was 5.94%. The last time it was under 6% was on June 26, at 5.78%. 

The rolling average on the county's website shows the rate reached its peak of 14.06% on July 2. See the numbers here

Sedgwick County reports a total of 7,695 COVID-19 cases and 69 deaths since the pandemic began, with 31 new cases and one additional death reported Tuesday.
